SOME  MORE  JAZZ  DIARY  DATES

We suggest you get over to the Tally Ho! at Mettingham if you want to hear top quality jazz.  Every Thursday evening the pub is host to the Sole Bay Jazz Band, and the food is good too!

This venue has been host to some great jazz nights for more years than some of us can remember, featuring many local stars, and it would be difficult to imagine the pub without such excellence on a Thursday evening.  Certainly this pulls in good attendances, and the pub must surely benefit.  Let us hope it continues.

The excellent Boxford Fleece Jazz Club is now at a new venue. The new address is Kersey Mill, Kersey, Suffolk IP7 6DP.  More about this and their range of extensive events can be found by reference to The Fleece web site, www.jazzatthefleece.org.uk.

Milestones Jazz Club is the steady beacon which shines for jazz in Lowestoft, at the Hotel Hatfield.

There are some great attractions at Dereham Jazz Society, Lyng.  During the next few weeks there are many bands and artists who have appeared at SJF.  This venue provides some great listening at extremely good value.

Rhythm ‘n’ Reeds.   Kings Head at Southwold. The free, monthly Sunday night sessions are in full swing, with Rhythm 'n' Reeds as the 'house  band'. With regular appearances by a number of  guest singers and musicians, these sessions are always varied and entertaining.  Jack's food and beer are good too!   

We have been told that dates have been agreed into September, so this is very good news.

Looking ahead to other gigs within  the Southwold area, R&R will also be playing at the Catholic Church Fete - on the Common behind the Church - between 2.00 and 4.00 pm on  Wed 13th August.
